SCORE | Broward is an active chapter for the national SCORE system and has more than 50 volunteers. The mentors are experienced business owners and managers who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help small business owners and potential small business owners achieve success. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs and small business men and women start, develop, and grow businesses in Broward County.

The City of Fort Lauderdale’s Economic and Community Investment Division (ECI) of the Department of Sustainable Development (DSD) is the point of contact between the City and its businesses and is responsible for citywide economic development. Services: Mentoring, Angel Investors, Seminars, and Workshops. The City of Fort Lauderdale’s Business Engagement, Assistance and Mentorships (BEAMs) Program was created to support businesses at all levels, from start-up to successful growth and expansion and seeks to enhance the viability and longevity of businesses in our community.

The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) offers high-level consulting and training to small and medium-sized businesses in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The Florida SBDC at FAU has access to robust databases, business research resources and knowledgeable expert consultants who can help business owners and entrepreneurs successfully navigate the obstacles that come with the stages of the business life cycle, providing no-cost specialized services to fit their needs.
